Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Atilla Vegh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hoppus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegh's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Social Distortion - Don't Drag Me Down . Adam Hoppus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Atilla Vegh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Hoppus!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoppus looks to land a body kick but Vegh moved away.
Hoppus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vegh tries to avoid it but Hoppus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vegh to the ground. Vegh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vegh lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Vegh throws a one two combo.

Hoppus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vegh wants to stand and escape but Hoppus is having none of it.
Vegh keeping moving, preventing Hoppus from controlling successfully.
Vegh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoppus on the ground.

Hoppus can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vegh is looking to escape.

Vegh's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Hoppus looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Vegh is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoppus has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vegh's face.

Vegh defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hoppus.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vegh is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Vegh is trying to break the clinch but Hoppus has him pressed against the cage.
Hoppus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vegh pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hoppus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vegh swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vegh paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Hoppus shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hoppus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vegh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A jab from Vegh finds it's way through Hoppus's defenses.
Vegh is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hoppus takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Vegh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vegh shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hoppus eats them both and turns towards Vegh to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Vegh connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hoppus's hands.
Vegh fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Vegh lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hoppus at a distance.
Hoppus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vegh defends it nicely.

Hoppus has his takedown stuffed
and Vegh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hoppus on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Vegh works over Hoppus's head and body with a nice combination.
Hoppus takes one on the button.
Vegh clobbers Hoppus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hoppus is defended easily by Vegh.
Vegh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vegh is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

The crowd cheers as Vegh lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hoppus doesn't seem phased though.
