PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max The Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sadam Ahmadaliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Dragon comes into the arena with Who's next blaring out of the sound system. Sadam Ahmadaliev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Dragon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ahmadaliev manages to avoid it.
Ahmadaliev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Dragon pinned against the cage. The Dragon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ahmadaliev scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The Dragon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ahmadaliev wants to control the pace but The Dragon is squirming around nicely.

Ahmadaliev is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. The Dragon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The Dragon dives in and scores a takedown into Ahmadaliev's guard.
The Dragon wants to stand and escape but instead Ahmadaliev has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Ahmadaliev drops back looking for a leg! The Dragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Dragon manages to kick Ahmadaliev off! Ahmadaliev jumps back into The Dragon's guard.

Ahmadaliev is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! The Dragon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! The Dragon has escaped and now he's on top!

The Dragon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ahmadaliev keeps working.

Ahmadaliev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. The Dragon is aware though and is defending well.

Ahmadaliev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Dragon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The Dragon wants to stand and escape but instead Ahmadaliev has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Ahmadaliev drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and The Dragon dives on top into guard.

Ahmadaliev is looking for a triangle but The Dragon pushes his legs off easily.
The Dragon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The Dragon wants to stand but Ahmadaliev has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The Dragon wants to control but Ahmadaliev is keeping him busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Dragon is working for an americana but Ahmadaliev has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst The Dragon was thinking about the submission.

The Dragon gets to his feet. Ahmadaliev looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and The Dragon counters with a takedown into side control.
Max The Dragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sadam Ahmadaliev.

The Dragon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ahmadaliev has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for The Dragon but great work by Ahmadaliev.
The Dragon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ahmadaliev on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ahmadaliev has hold of The Dragon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Dragon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ahmadaliev cranks the arm and The Dragon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Dragon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sadam Ahmadaliev!
A relieved looking Sadam Ahmadaliev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
