Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayson Bolt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jayson Bolt told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolt shoots for a takedown but Putin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vladimir Putin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jayson Bolt.
Putin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bolt backwards.

Putin has picked Bolt up - he's going for a ride! Putin dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Putin is pushing down on Bolt's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bolt is fighting to maintain full guard but Putin has managed to sneak the leg through.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Putin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bolt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bolt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Putin stacks Bolt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Putin!

Bolt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Putin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Putin is posturing up here but Bolt has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Putin tries to roll out but it's too tight and Putin has to tap! Slick submission there by Bolt!
