The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shirahama sprawls well. Shirahama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.

Alves is looking to improve his position but Shirahama isn't that keen on the idea.
