Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dana Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jason david (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
david tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
jason david seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

david looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gracie regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from david.
david stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
david wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
david controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing david from controlling successfully.

david is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Gracie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
david throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
david shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracie but Gracie pushes him off and we're back to square one.

david closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - david lands in his opponent's guard.

Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. david gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

david is pushing down on Gracie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gracie is fighting to maintain full guard but david has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of david's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take david's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I really don't envy david right now.
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Gracie has his arm under david's chin here. Game over son! Gracie squeezes tightly and david is forced to tap out!
