PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hannu Neuvonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Sivupotku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neuvonen comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Intro. Sivupotku is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Guns N' Roses - It's So Easy. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sivupotku drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sivupotku prevents Neuvonen from getting back to his feet.
Sivupotku with a nice head shot there.
Sivupotku controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Sivupotku won't allow Neuvonen to get back to his feet.
Neuvonen doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neuvonen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sivupotku gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neuvonen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Neuvonen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Neuvonen tries to clinch up but Sivupotku circles away and keeps his distance.
Sivupotku chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Neuvonen can pounce on him.

Sivupotku tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Neuvonen just stands there and leans against the cage.
Neuvonen wants to break free but Sivupotku has control.

Sivupotku has Neuvonen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sivupotku pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Neuvonen tumbling to the mat - Sivupotku dives into Neuvonen's guard.
Neuvonen wants to get back to his feet but Sivupotku is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sivupotku postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Neuvonen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sivupotku, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sivupotku escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Neuvonen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neuvonen is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sivupotku has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Neuvonen is looking to defend but Sivupotku has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Neuvonen! Sivupotku pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Neuvonen taps out and this one is all over!
