Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mihail Mansurov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Tombstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mansurov comes into the arena with Kreator - Impossible Brutality blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mihail Mansurov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Tombstone!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mansurov jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tombstone shoots in for a takedown but Mansurov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mansurov loads up on a big right hand but Tombstone slips the punch.
Tombstone misses with a body punch

so Mansurov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Tombstone looking for a guillotine here but Mansurov defends easily.

Tombstone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Tombstone has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mansurov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tombstone.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tombstone is looking to regain half guard here but Mansurov keeps moving and retains side control.

Tombstone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mansurov pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Tombstone manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mansurov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Tombstone looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mansurov has picked Tombstone up and slammed him! Tombstone can't keep hold of the triangle and Mansurov manages to pass to side control!

Mansurov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tombstone some visible discomfort.
Mansurov wants to control but Tombstone is keeping him busy.
Tombstone is trying to buck Mansurov off.

We're going to have a standup here because Mihail Mansurov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tombstone moves away from the strike by Mansurov.
Tombstone throws a series of punches but Mansurov avoids them all with ease.
Tombstone has his takedown stuffed
and Mansurov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tombstone thinking.
Mansurov cracks Tombstone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Tony Tombstone has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tombstone shoots in and drives through. Mansurov sprawls well.
Mihail Mansurov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Tombstone.

Mansurov misses with a hook. Tombstone ducked under it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tombstone throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mansurov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mansurov connects with a looping right hand.
Mansurov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tombstones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Mansurov misses the jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mihail Mansurov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tony Tombstone's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Tombstone is looking to clinch but Mansurov is avoiding it.

Tombstone takes the fight into the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Mansurov.
Tombstone can't break the clinch.
Tombstone wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mansurov has him pressed against the cage.
Mansurov working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Tombstone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mansurov lands a body punch.
Mansurov is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Tombstone is trying to break the clinch but Mansurov has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mansurov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Mansurov lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mansurov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.


Tombstone is rocked!

Tombstone is still on wobbly legs! Can Mansurov finish him?
Tombstone's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Mansurov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tombstone's efforts to push away.
Tombstone is trying to pull guard but Mansurov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Tombstone is breathing heavily.

Mansurov lands a hook that snaps the head of Tombstone backwards.
Mansurov lands a damaging elbow.
Tombstone has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mansurov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mansurov pushes Tombstone against the cage. Mansurov is working some dirty boxing. Mansurov pushes off with a quick right hook! Tombstone goes down! Tombstone tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Mansurov moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mihail Mansurov!
