Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herman Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clifford Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes's entrance music is F**king Hostile. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Holmes.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holmes manages to avoid it.
Holmes slips under a jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Smith as he connects with a hook.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Some bone on bone action there as Holmes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Holmes blocks a jab.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holmes manages to avoid it.
Holmes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Holmes moves away from the strike by Smith.

Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Smith misses with a leg kick

and Holmes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Holmes.
Smith prevents Holmes from breaking the clinch.
Smith is working for takedown but Holmes is calmly controlling the position for now.

Smith breaks from the clinch.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Holmes.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Holmes counters with a series of strikes. Smith will be more careful next time no doubt.
Holmes walks into a straight right hand from Smith.
