PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Digital Badass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cameron Cole was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Digital Badass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Cole!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badass fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cole throws a low kick, looking for Badass's leg but Badass calmly moves out of range.
Badass feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cole's calf.

Badass closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cole trying to control from the bottom.
Cole tries to roll over but Badass keeps him under control.
Badass not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Badass seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Badass stops Cole from getting back to his feet.

Badass wants to pass the guard but Cole is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Badass fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cole sprawls well initially but Badass persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cole is not content to let Badass control the position.
Badass with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Badass escapes and gets back to his feet.
Cole keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cole jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Some wild striking there from Cole.
Cole steps into range and cracks Badass with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Badass flops backwards and Cole dives into his guard looking to finish!

Badass is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cole gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Badass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cole misses with a leg kick

so Badass counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cole is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Badass is controlling him.
Badass trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom.
Badass seems to have got his legs back now.
Badass is breathing heavily.

Badass preventing the sweep.
Badass wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.
Badass won't allow Cole to get back to his feet.
Cole keeping moving, preventing Badass from controlling successfully.
Cole is looking to stand up but Badass isn't so interested in that idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cole thows a left - swing and a miss!
Badass fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Digital Badass. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Badass throws a leg kick but Cole checks it.
Badass walks into a stiff left hand from Cole.
Cole drops Badass with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Badass! Cole dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
