Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunther Wehlpapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts comes to the ring accompanied by RUN DMC - Down With The King. The key to victory for Jake Roberts has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Roberts!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunther Wehlpapp!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Wehlpapp checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Wehlpapp shoots in and bounces Roberts off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Wehlpapp won't allow Roberts to sweep him here.

Roberts working for a triangle but Wehlpapp defends it easily.

Roberts is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Roberts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wehlpapp doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wehlpapp manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wehlpapp tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wehlpapp has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wehlpapp is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roberts knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wehlpapp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wehlpapp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Roberts is staying active underneath Wehlpapp, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Wehlpapp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wehlpapp showed some decent athleticism there.

Roberts had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wehlpapp is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Roberts Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wehlpapp's back instead.

Roberts is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wehlpapp has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wehlpapp has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Roberts to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wehlpapp is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Roberts pulls down on the head and he's put Wehlpapp to sleep! This one is all over!
