Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Koers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Mortis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Godsmack - Cryin' Like A Bitch!!. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mortis's choice of entrance music: Crush 'em by Megadeth. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Koers.
Koers shoots in and drives through. Mortis sprawls well.
Mortis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mortis sizes up Koers with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Koers shoots in looking for a takedown. Mortis tries to sprawl out of it but Koers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mortis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Koers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Mortis tries to bum rush Koers with a series of wild strikes but Koers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mortis cracks Koers with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Mortis jabs Koers to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Koers scores with a kick to the midsection.
Some bone on bone action there as Koers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mortis jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Mortis moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koers takes a swing at Mortis's ribcage but misses.
Mortis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Koers.
Koers walks straight into a right hand from Mortis - that's dropped him! Mortis jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Koers from any more punishment! Koers complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
