Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Villamin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villamin comes to the cage accompanied by Till I Collapse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshihiro Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villamin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yamamoto paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Yamamoto tries to keep at a distance but Villamin has taken the fight into the clinch.

Villamin breaks the clinch.
Villamin fails with the takedown.
Yamamoto tries to clinch there but Villamin circles away.

Villamin lands a big head kick that sends Yamamoto tumbling to the mat! Villamin takes a step backwards and waves Yamamoto back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yamamoto gets tackled into the cage by Villamin. Villamin maintains the clinch.

Villamin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Villamin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Villamin scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Villamin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yamamoto, pushing him back against the cage.

Villamin lands a left and a right that send Yamamoto crashing to the mat, dazed. Villamin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Villamin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Villamin takes the fight into the clinch.

Villamin jumps guard and drags Yamamoto to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Villamin wants to stand but Yamamoto is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Yoshihiro Yamamoto.

Yamamoto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Villamin walks away with a smile on his face. Yamamoto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Villamin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Villamin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yamamoto is controlling him.
Villamin trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Villamin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jason Villamin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
