Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Bastiat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Lii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bastiat comes into the arena with Superstition blaring out of the sound system. Lii comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Legend of the Ocean kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lii displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bastiat throws out the jab.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lii, right into the meat.
Bastiat blocks a head kick by Lii.
Lii pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck for Bastiat with that takedown attempt.
Bastiat takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lii lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Lii lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bastiat takes a step back to recover.

Bastiat looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lii is fending him off so far but Bastiat persists. Nope, Lii circles away and we're back to standing.

Lii bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Lii throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bastiat slips a straight right by Lii.
Bastiat will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lii moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Luke Lii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lii looks to land a body kick but Bastiat moved away.
Bastiat shoots in looking for a takedown. Lii tries to sprawl out of it but Bastiat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lii manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bastiat takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bastiat crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lii - the referee stops the clock and Bastiat gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lii. Bastiat manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frederic Bastiat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lii stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lii wants it to stay on the feet.
Lii lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Bastiat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bastiat slips a nice elbow through Lii's hands, connecting with Lii's forehead.

Bastiat is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lii defends it well.

Bastiat is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lii doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bastiat.
Lii is looking to improve his position.

Bastiat is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lii!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lii is trying to escape the mount.
Lii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bastiat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bastiat working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lii turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bastiat off and cradles Lii's limp body as Bastiat celebrates with his corner.
