Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benson Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Outlandish - Guantanamo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Benson Henderson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Benson Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson throws a sloppy head kick and Rodriguez moves out of range easily.
Henderson drives through with a takedown into Rodriguez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Henderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Henderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rodriguez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Henderson wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.
Rodriguez is looking for a triangle but Henderson pushes his legs off easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rodriguez has his foot on Henderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henderson works his way back into a safe position though.

Henderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Henderson throws an elbow that misses. Rodriguez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henderson's guard. Nice move by Rodriguez!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rodriguez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Henderson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Henderson tries to roll over but Rodriguez keeps him under control.

Rodriguez has control of an arm but Henderson manages to advance to Rodriguez's back!
Rodriguez tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Rodriguez is squirming around, avoiding Henderson's attempts to control the action.
Rodriguez is desperately trying to improve his position but Henderson has a good base and remains in mount.

Henderson wants to stand but Rodriguez is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Rodriguez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rodriguez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Rodriguez drops back looking for a leg! Henderson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Henderson manages to kick Rodriguez off! Rodriguez jumps back into Henderson's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rodriguez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Rodriguez dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Henderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Henderson wants it to stay on the feet.
Rodriguez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Henderson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Henderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodriguez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Henderson wants to stand but Rodriguez has his arm trapped.

Rodriguez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Henderson pulls his head out easily.
Rodriguez is not content to let Henderson control the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rodriguez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Henderson is aware though and is defending well.
Rodriguez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Henderson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rodriguez has tightened it up now! Henderson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
