The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Malkovich there.
Malkovich slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Malkovich throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gazafi sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Gazafi takes the fight into the clinch.
Gazafi keeps control of Malkovich as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gazafi misses with a knee strike.
Gazafi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gazafi throws a knee to the head but misses.

Malkovich wants to take the fight to the mat but Gazafi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Malkovich fails to pull guard.
Malkovich is working for takedown but Gazafi is calmly controlling the position for now.
Martaza Gazafi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Malkovich.
Malkovich wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gazafi has him pressed against the cage.
Malkovich wants to break the clinch but can't.

Malkovich tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Malkovich is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gazafi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Malkovich to the mat. Malkovich regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Gazafi postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Malkovich covers up, he's hurt! Gazafi keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Gazafi and the ref steps in to end the fight! Gazafi can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
