Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Shurk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shurk comes to the cage accompanied by Achy Breaky Heart. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shurk sizes up Gonzales with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice body punch from Shurk.
Gonzales tries for a takedown but Shurk circles away easily
and Shurk counters with a straight right hand.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shurk scores with a shot to the side of Gonzales's head.
Gonzales tries to pull guard but Shurk won't allow it.
Gonzales is looking to break free of the clinch but Shurk has double underhooks.
Gonzales blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Gonzales pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shurk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gonzales works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Shurk throws a big right hand that misses.
Gonzales trying to keep a closed guard but Shurk is proving a slippery customer.
Shurk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzales on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shurk preventing the sweep.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shurk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gonzales looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shurk landing some decent shots from guard.
Shurk postures up and lands a big shot to Gonzales's brow.
Shurk works over Gonzales with some ground and pound from guard.

Gonzales is rocked!
Shurk stands up over Gonzales, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gonzales is still in real trouble! Can Shurk finish him?
Shurk gets to his feet and stands over Gonzales, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Gonzales felt that one! Shurk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Gonzales from any more punishment!
