The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Willy Pete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pete throws an overhand right that lands on Willemoes's shoulder, as Willemoes tries to avoid the shot.
Sloppy strikes from Pete. Those never looked like landing.
Pete misses with a leg kick.
Willemoes scores with a shot to the body.
Willemoes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pete was well out of range. Poor timing from Willemoes.
Pete stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Christian Willemoes has been cut.
Willemoes checks the leg kick.
Pete looks to land a left hand but Willemoes moved out of range nicely.
Pete takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
No joy there for Pete, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Willemoes misses the shot to the body.
Willemoes just misses with a punch to the body.
Pete avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pete gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nice body punch from Pete.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pete drops his hands momentarily and Willemoes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Willemoes throws a body punch but Pete moves out of range.
Willemoes tries to move into range but Pete moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Pete swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pete fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Willemoes manages to avoid it.
Pete throws an off balance right hand
and Willemoes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pete misses the shot to the body.

Pete drops Willemoes with a left right combo! Pete follows him down to the ground into side control.

Willemoes is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Willemoes is trying to improve his position.
Willemoes is still in real trouble! Can Pete finish him?

Pete stands up and beckons Willemoes to his feet.
Willemoes looks to throw the jab but Pete is out of range.
Pete takes a swing at Willemoes's ribcage but misses.
Willemoes thows a body shot but no joy.
Pete lands a hook that stumbles Willemoes back into the cage. Pete follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Willemoes to the canvas! Pete pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Willemoes has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
