Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maimuta Prunea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prunea throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Man looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Man tries for a takedown but Prunea circles away easily

and Prunea counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Prunea gets to his feet. Man looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Prunea counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Man has momentary wrist control but Prunea slips an elbow through the middle.
Prunea is looking to work some ground and pound but Man has wrist control.
Prunea missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Prunea decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Man, up you get!
Man swings for the body but Prunea moves out of range.

Prunea closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Man quickly recovers to half guard.
Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prunea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Prunea drops an elbow to the side of Man's head.
Prunea looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Prunea stops Man from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Maimuta Prunea wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Prunea fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Man sprawls well initially but Prunea persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Prunea's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Prunea bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Man is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Prunea has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee warns Man that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Prunea lands a big shot there that rocks Man but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Prunea fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Prunea shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Man's guard.
Prunea sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Man's guard.
Prunea is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Man can do to turn this around?

Man is trying to escape the position but Prunea is controlling the position.

Man is looking to get back to his feet here but Prunea is keeping cool and he's managed to take Man's back.

Prunea just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Prunea has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Prunea seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Man for as long as he can get away with.
