The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rankaisija misses with a takedown attempt - Extreme sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Extreme defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rankaisija.
Extreme takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
No luck for Rankaisija with that takedown attempt.

Rankaisija takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Extreme takes the fight into the clinch.
Extreme slowing the pace effectively.
Extreme lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

so Rankaisija counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Extreme wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rankaisija manages to pass to side control.
Extreme tries to kick Rankaisija off but Rankaisija keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Rankaisija seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Extreme does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Extreme is in trouble now - Rankaisija has advanced to mount!

Rankaisija cracks Extreme with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Extreme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rankaisija. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rankaisija unloads with some shots from mount but Extreme bucks and avoids them well.
Extreme tries to hold on but Rankaisija pushes him away.
Extreme has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Rankaisija has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Extreme holding both Rankaisija 's hands and preventing any damage.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Rankaisija controlling the positon.

Extreme won't enjoy being in this position. Rankaisija looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Extreme is tapping - it's over boys! Rankaisija picks up the submission victory!
