The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to clinch but Coulouarn is avoiding it.
Coulouarn catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Coulouarn misses with a body punch

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Coulouarn throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jones stalling.
Coulouarn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Coulouarn flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Coulouarn is looking to get back to full guard here but Jones has managed to pass to side control instead.

Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Coulouarn has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jones has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coulouarn is looking to escape.
Coulouarn sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Coulouarn tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Coulouarn is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coulouarn is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Coulouarn avoid being mounted?

Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Coulouarn defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Coulouarn is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jones looks up at the clock. Bad move! Coulouarn lands a right hand from hell, dropping Jones. Coulouarn pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
