Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 2. Rickenbacker v.2 is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Back Stabber!. Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gibson Rickenbacker v.2!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres keeps the fight on the outside.
Rickenbacker v.2 lands a head kick. Torres smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Josh Torres has been cut.
Rickenbacker v.2 tries to close the distance and clinch but Torres swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Torres fails with a takedown attempt.
Rickenbacker v.2 lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rickenbacker v.2 tries to clinch there but Torres circles away.
Rickenbacker v.2 is looking to clinch but Torres is avoiding it.
Torres doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rickenbacker v.2 counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rickenbacker v.2 throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A telegraphed right hand from Rickenbacker v.2 misses the target.

Rickenbacker v.2 moves into range and clinches up with Torres.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Torres jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rickenbacker v.2 walks away with a smile on his face. Torres gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rickenbacker v.2 stalling in the clinch but Torres improves position.

Rickenbacker v.2 breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rickenbacker v.2 tries to close the distance and clinch but Torres swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rickenbacker v.2 misses with a body kick.
Rickenbacker v.2 lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A head kick from Rickenbacker v.2 lands but Torres takes it in his stride.

Rickenbacker v.2 closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rickenbacker v.2's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rickenbacker v.2 misses with a knee to the head.
Torres tries to pull guard but Rickenbacker v.2 forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.
Rickenbacker v.2 tries to stall but Torres uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rickenbacker v.2 is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Torres tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Torres tries to pull guard but Rickenbacker v.2 won't allow it.
Rickenbacker v.2 looking to stall.
Torres can't get the takedown.
Rickenbacker v.2 putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Torres in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Torres is breathing heavily.

Rickenbacker v.2 gets control of Torres's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rickenbacker v.2 will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Rickenbacker v.2 looking for a sweep. Not yet Rickenbacker v.2, not yet.
Torres wants to control from the top but Rickenbacker v.2 keeps moving.
Torres slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rickenbacker v.2 has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Torres should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rickenbacker v.2 has tightened it up now! Torres should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
