Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Take it easy, Pussy". Balrog Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed
and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Johnson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Silva stuns Johnson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Silva throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
Johnson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Johnson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Johnson but great work by Silva.

Johnson is trying to trip Silva. He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Johnson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silva lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

A lazy left from Johnson finds it's target.
Silva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Johnson - the referee stops the clock and Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Johnson. Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
