Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Anthem of Kings. Silva has chosen Iced Earth - Harbinger of Fate as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sloppy strikes from Mathers. Those never looked like landing.
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mathers is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Silva is rocked!
Silva walks straight into a right hand from Mathers - that's dropped him! Mathers jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Silva from any more punishment! Silva complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
