Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hobbs might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dusk Dismantled. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Carwin misses.
Hobbs darts in trying to clinch
and Carwin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hobbs thinking.
Carwin scores with a shot to the body.
Hobbs looks to land a combination but Carwin avoids it well.
Carwin looks to score with a jab to the body but Hobbs is just out of range.
Hobbs swings for the body but Carwin moves out of range.
Carwin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hobbs connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Carwin scrambles back to his feet.
Hobbs is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Carwin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hobbs has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hobbs there as he acknowledges the shot.

Carwin misses with a jab to the body
and Hobbs counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Hobbs misses with a punch to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hobbs.
Carwin is trying to stall.
Hobbs makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Carwin lands with a right to the head.
Hobbs lands with a short shot to the head.

Carwin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Carwin trying to control the position but instead, Hobbs has worked for underhooks and has pushed Carwin into the cage.
Hobbs misses with some punches.
Hobbs tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hobbs misses with the head strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carwin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carwin throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Hobbs to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hobbs takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Carwin scores with a hook to the body. Hobbs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Carwin swings for the body but Hobbs moves out of range.
Carwin is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hobbs rather than just go for the knockout.
Carwin throws a series of punches but Hobbs avoids them all with ease.
Hobbs uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carwin.
Hobbs wants to clinch.
Carwin misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hobbs drops Carwin with a beautiful combination! Carwin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hobbs is looking for the KO!
It looks like Shane Carwin has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hobbs throws a monster overhand right that drops Carwin! Hobbs follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Luke Hobbs was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
