The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

BlackBelt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ranger tries to avoid it but BlackBelt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ranger to the ground. Ranger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

BlackBelt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and BlackBelt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

BlackBelt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ranger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
