Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oda Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hidetoshi Nakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hidetoshi Nakata has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Oda Hattori's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oda Hattori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hidetoshi Nakata!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hattori swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hattori rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nakata moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hattori lands a high kick!

Nakata has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hattori looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Nakata has Hattori pressed against the cage, preventing Hattori from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Nakata is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hattori can't fight it off and eventually Nakata manages to take the fight to the floor. Hattori looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Nakata is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hattori is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hattori has escaped and now he's on top!

Nakata is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Nakata had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hattori defends it easily.

Hattori avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hattori trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakata looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Nakata is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hattori throws a big elbow that misses.

Hattori throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nakata works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hattori wants to control from the top but Nakata keeps moving.

Hattori tries to control but Nakata wriggling away.
Nakata wants to hold on but Hattori pushes him away.
Nakata bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Nakata drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hattori manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nakata has Hattori in his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hidetoshi Nakata dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nakata fails to land the takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Hattori. Those never looked like landing.
Nakata is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hattori sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Oda Hattori seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nakata bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Hattori's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nakata lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Hattori tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Nakata is working to tighten is grip on Hattori's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hattori has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nakata is really squeezing tight and eventually Hattori passes out! Nakata breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
