The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper connects with a leg kick. Tammipuomi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ripper looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ripper pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ripper ducks under a wild hook from Tammipuomi.
Ripper throws a low kick but Tammipuomi avoids it.
Tammipuomi shoots in for a double leg but Ripper sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jack Ripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tammipuomi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ripper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tammipuomi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch but Tammipuomi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tammipuomi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Ripper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tammipuomi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tammipuomi lands a jab-cross combination.
Ripper throws a head kick but Tammipuomi moves out of range.
Ripper wants to land a leg kick but Tammipuomi is out of range.

Ripper takes the fight into the clinch.
Tammipuomi is trying to stall.

Ripper misses with a punch to the body.
Ripper throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Tammipuomi stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Ripper doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Tammipuomi is working Ripper over against the cage.
Tammipuomi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ripper fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ripper looks for the body kick but Tammipuomi saw that one coming.
Ripper misses with an uppercut
and Tammipuomi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ripper throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Tammipuomi to counter with a crisp jab.
Tammipuomi blocks a head kick by Ripper.
Ripper looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ripper connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Tammipuomi counters with a shoot takedown. Ripper fights it but they end up in guard.
Tammipuomi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Ripper will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ripper lands a big head kick that sends Tammipuomi tumbling to the mat! Ripper takes a step backwards and waves Tammipuomi back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Marco Tammipuomi has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters circle, before Ripper throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Tammipuomi's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ripper lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
