The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redkin misses with an uppercut. Alistaireem saw that one coming.

Alistaireem fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Redkin to the ground. Alistaireem is now in Redkin's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Alistaireem has Redkin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Alistaireem pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Redkin tumbling to the mat - Alistaireem dives into Redkin's guard.

Alistaireem is stalling here. Redkin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Alistaireem seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Redkin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
