Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kazahiro Murakami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Worner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: lets go by lil john. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kazahiro Murakami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Murakami lands an impressive looking overhand right. Worner doesn't seem phased though.
Murakami paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Murakami lands a jab.
Worner drops his hands momentarily and Murakami takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Murakami gets the takedown into side control.

Murakami thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Worner is not content to let Murakami control the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Murakami is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Worner has escaped the position, nice work there.

Murakami tries for a kimura but Worner is defending well.
Murakami is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Worner's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Murakami wants to lay and pray for a moment but Worner keeps working.
Worner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murakami. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Worner tries to bench press Murakami off him but Murakami keeps the position.
Murakami is looking to take a break and control but Worner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee asks Murakami politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Murakami prefers to stall for the moment though.

We're going to have a standup here because Kazahiro Murakami wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Worner is defended easily by Murakami.
Murakami lands a head kick. Worner smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murakami throws a nice head kick!
Worner takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Murakami displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Murakami throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Worner was covering up waiting for the punch and Murakami finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Murakami throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Murakami passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Murakami in particular looking to stall.
Murakami wants to free his trapped foot but Worner is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Murakami missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Worner tries to get to full guard but Murakami has control of the leg.

Murakami performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Worner wants to control but Murakami is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Murakami is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Worner has managed to free his arm - good work.

Murakami takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Worner has hold of Murakami's hands but Murakami slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Murakami seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Worner for as long as he can get away with.
Murakami landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Murakami seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Worner wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kazahiro Murakami dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Murakami lands a slapping body shot.
Worner tries to clinch up
and Murakami counters with a right hand to the body.
Murakami goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Murakami drives through with a takedown into guard.

Murakami drops back looking for a leg! Worner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Worner manages to kick Murakami off! Murakami jumps back into Worner's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Murakami scores with a decent looking elbow strike.


Worner is rocked!
Murakami with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Worner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Worner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Murakami is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Worner can do to turn this around?
Worner wants to sweep but no luck.

Murakami connects with a couple of short punches.
Worner is still in real trouble! Can Murakami finish him?
Worner is breathing heavily.
Murakami postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Worner covers up, he's hurt! Murakami keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Murakami and the ref steps in to end the fight! Murakami can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kazahiro Murakami!
