The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke throws out a loose jab but Donovan uses good head movement to avoid it.
A swing and a miss from Clarke.
Donovan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clarke moves away.
Donovan works Clarke's body with a nice hook.
Donovan connects with a nice looking jab.
Donovan connects with a solid leg kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Clarke checks a leg kick.
Clarke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Donovan sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Clarke takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Donovan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clarke was well out of range. Poor timing from Donovan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Donovan is bucking up trying to escape but Clarke cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
