Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howie The Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howie The Wolf is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Howie The Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Wolf closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bob quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The Wolf drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bob manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now The Wolf has Bob in his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bob's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The Wolf looking to sit in guard and control but Bob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bob decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bob looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Wolf with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bob seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The Wolf is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bob scores with a couple of nice shots.
Well, if Bob is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bob thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Wolf's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bob connects with a nice short shot to The Wolf's temple.

Bob is nestled in close to The Wolf, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The Wolf makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Bob dives in and grabs The Wolf's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Wolf pushes down on Bob's head and hops out.

Bob forces The Wolf back against the cage and clinches.

The Wolf has Bob pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bob manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The Wolf is working for takedown but Bob is calmly controlling the position for now.
Tom Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Howie The Wolf.

Bob is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. The Wolf can't fight it off and eventually Bob manages to take the fight to the floor. The Wolf looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Tom Bob wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Howie The Wolf has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Howie The Wolf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
