Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Belo Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chael Sonnen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sonnen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Me napping and manages to drive through into side control!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Me can't do much from the bottom here.
Me gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Me gets full guard.
Sonnen looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Me working for a triangle but Sonnen defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Me is on top in guard.
Sonnen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Me.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sonnen keeping moving, preventing Me from controlling successfully.

Sonnen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Me can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Me tries to free his leg and advance position but Sonnen is retaining full guard.
Sonnen looking for a sweep. Not yet Sonnen, not yet.
Me wants to control from the top but Sonnen keeps moving.
Me is pushing down on Sonnen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sonnen is fighting to maintain full guard but Me has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sonnen trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Me manages to pass to mount!
Me manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sonnen to take his back!

Me is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Sonnen with him. Sonnen is trying to defend but Me has an arm under the chin now! Sonnen grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Belo Me!
An out of breath Belo Me thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
