The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cafu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cafu somewhat.

Cafu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Griffin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cafu goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Griffin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cafu but great work by Griffin.

Cafu shoots for a double leg takedown but Griffin sprawls well. He's pushed Cafu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Griffin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cafu sprawling to the canvas! Cafu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Griffin finish him?!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Griffin drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Cafu's head, knocking him out cold! Griffin is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

A relieved looking Stewie Griffin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
