The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barg pinned against the cage. Barg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No joy there for Kimura, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kimura has a takedown stuffed.
Kimura shoots in for a takedown but Barg shows good takedown defense.
Wayne Barg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masahiko Kimura.
Barg fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barg takes a swing at Kimura's ribcage but misses.
Barg throws a big shot that misses.
Kimura looks for a takedown but Barg sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Barg. No joy for Kimura on that attempt.
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up with Barg, looking for a takedown. Kimura pushes Barg against the cage but Barg circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Barg swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kimura shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Barg is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kimura is controlling him.
Barg throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Barg gets caught flat footed, as Kimura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kimura is pushing down on Barg's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barg is fighting to maintain full guard but Kimura has managed to sneak the leg through.
Barg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kimura on the ground.

Barg on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barg tries to get out of the position.
Barg is breathing heavily.
Kimura is looking for a kimura but Barg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kimura to get the leverage.
Kimura is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kimura is working for a guillotine from mount but Barg frees his head quite easily.
Barg is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kimura looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Kimura trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Barg is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kimura working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Barg turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kimura off and cradles Barg's limp body as Kimura celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Masahiko Kimura!
