Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ash Woodford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelvin Shum!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shum keeps the fight on the outside.
Woodford misses with a wild combination.
Woodford throws a right hand that Shum ducks under and follows up with a left that Shum also avoids with ease.
Woodford dodges the punch combination from Shum.
Nice defenses there by Woodford.
Woodford looks to land a combination but Shum avoids it well.
Woodford steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shum.
Shum uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Woodford has time to react.
Woodford loads up on a big right hand but Shum slips the punch.

Shum looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woodford being controlled here, momentarily.

Woodford wants to stand but Shum is controlling the position.

Woodford not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shum controls from within his opponent's guard.
Shum tries to free his leg and advance position but Woodford is retaining full guard.
Shum sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Shum passes Woodford's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Shum prevents Woodford from improving his position.
Shum thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Woodford's head.

Woodford tries to roll over but Shum keeps him under control.
Woodford is breathing heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shum lands a nice short elbow.
Shum is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Woodford wants to stand back up but Shum manages to pass into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Check out the look on Shum's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kelvin Shum dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Woodford moves out of range of the strikes.
Woodford ducks under a wild hook from Shum.
Shum misses with an uppercut. Woodford saw that one coming.
Woodford swings for the body but Shum moves out of range.

Shum shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Shum controlling the action here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kelvin Shum just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shum uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woodford.
Shum cracks Woodford with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Woodford tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Shum pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Woodford is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kelvin Shum!
