The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Lauzon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sauders can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lauzon is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sauders is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sauders flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lauzon anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sauders and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lauzon slips an arm under Sauders chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lauzon has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lauzon is squeezing on Sauders like an anaconda would it's prey. Sauders fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
