Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orhan Ibishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mathew Corson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mathew Corson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibishi tries to clinch up.

Ibishi gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ibishi is trying to maintain a safe position but Corson gets an underhook and turns Ibishi into the cage.

Corson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ibishi's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Orhan Ibishi.

Corson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Ibishi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Corson sprawls well. Corson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ibishi gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Corson. No joy for Ibishi on that attempt.
Corson shoots for a takedown but Ibishi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ibishi shoots in and drives through. Corson sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orhan Ibishi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corson dives in and grabs Ibishi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ibishi pushes down on Corson's head and hops out.

It looks like Mathew Corson has been cut.
Corson misses with a takedown attempt - Ibishi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Corson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ibishi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Corson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ibishi as he avoids it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ibishi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ibishi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corson is fending him off so far but Ibishi persists. Nope, Corson circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ibishi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Corson.
Ibishi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Corson takes a kick to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Corson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ibishi tries to sprawl out of it but Corson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ibishi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Corson slaps away a takedown attempt from Ibishi, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Corson.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Corson controls the position from side control.
Ibishi tries to bench press Corson off him but Corson keeps the position.

Corson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Corson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ibishi!
Corson wants to take his opponent's back but Ibishi doesn't allow it.

Corson wants to finish this one by submission but Ibishi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Corson.

Ibishi wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Corson sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Ibishi taps out!
