Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Janssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janssen comes to the cage accompanied by DJ Madman - Meisje zo lelijk als de nacht . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Janssen counters with a shoot takedown. Fedorov fights it but they end up in guard.
Janssen with a flurry of punches that miss.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Janssen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fedorov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Janssen counters with a thumping low kick.
Jan Janssen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexandr Fedorov.
Fedorov looks gassed!
Fedorov doesn't manage to clinch there - Janssen circles away.
Janssen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Janssen connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Janssen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fedorov tries a head kick but it misses.
Janssen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fedorovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fedorov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Janssen.
Fedorov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters circle momentarily. Janssen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fedorov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Fedorov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Janssen connects with a looping right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janssen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Janssen is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Janssen lands with an uppercut that bounces Fedorov off the cage and back into range.

Fedorov is rocked!
Fedorov takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Fedorov is still on wobbly legs! Can Janssen finish him?
Janssen lands with a big left! Fedorov is wobbled badly! Janssen comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Fedorov to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
