PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beeb Beyondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roe Jogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beyondo takes the fight into the clinch.

Jogan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beyondo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Beyondo pulls guard effortlessly.
Beyondo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Beyondo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jogan pushes down on Beyondo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Beyondo tries to get to full guard but Jogan has control of the leg.
Beyondo is not content to let Jogan control the position.
Beyondo wants to control but Jogan is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Jogan seems to be working for a kimura but Beyondo defends the submission attempt.
Jogan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Beyondo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jogan as he jumps to the side.

Beyondo clinches up against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jogan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Beyondo!
Jogan avoids the attempt from Beyondo to control.
Beyondo is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Beyondo is desperately trying to improve his position but Jogan has a good base and remains in mount.
Jogan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beyondo is looking to escape.

Jogan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Beyondo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Beeb Beyondo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Beyondo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Beyondo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Jogan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beyondo manages to get himself to full guard.

Beyondo wriggles free and stands up.
Beyondo fails with a takedown attempt.

Beyondo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Beyondo gets to mount! Jogan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jogan regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jogan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Jogan is pulling down on Beyondo's head. It's preventing any offense from Beyondo, at least for the moment.

Jogan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beyondo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Beyondo is sitting in close to Jogan's body. Jogan has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Beyondo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Beyondo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jogan.
