Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Coming Home kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Diago Sanchez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper fails with the takedown
and Sanchez counters with a three punch combo that has Pepper backing up. Pepper nods at Sanchez to acknowledge the strikes.

Sanchez moves into the clinch.
Pepper has a couple of punches blocked by Sanchez.
Pepper is pressed up against the cage. Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pepper down to the mat. Pepper avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pepper misses with a wild combination.
Peter Pepper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Pepper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sanchez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pepper defending well though.

Pepper wants to control but Sanchez is keeping busy.
Pepper is looking for a sweep. Sanchez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pepper sees it coming and defends easily.
Sanchez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pepper is staying active underneath Sanchez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pepper is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pepper wants to get back to his feet.
Sanchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pepper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sanchez slips a nice elbow through Pepper's hands, connecting with Pepper's forehead.

Sanchez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pepper is just riding it out for now. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold.

Sanchez seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Pepper is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Diago Sanchez opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
