The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fire throws a right and a left that Brutality avoids nicely.

Brutality shoots in and drives through. Fire sprawls well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Fire throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brutality shoots in but Fire avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fire lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A nice inside leg kick there by Fire. That's going to slow Brutality down.

Brutality drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fire is looking for a sweep.
Fire is breathing heavily.

Fire avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Brutality.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brutality is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fire is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Brutality thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fire throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

and Brutality counters with a single leg into guard. Fire didn't expect that.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fire is on top in guard.

Fire rushes Brutality and presses him up against the cage.
Brutality goes for a takedown attempt but Fire pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fire closes the distance but Brutality moves to the side

and Brutality decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fire's guard.
Oh Fire is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fire bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brutality's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fire tries to free his leg and advance position but Brutality is retaining full guard.
Fire seems to have got his legs back now.
Fire is pushing down on Brutality's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brutality is fighting to maintain full guard but Fire has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brutality working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fire doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fire manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
