The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neder digs a good hook to Bannon's body.

Neder bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neder wants to control but Bannon is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neder looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Neder is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bannon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Neder goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bannon is on top in guard.
Bannon wanted to stand there but Neder had control of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Derek Neder dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Neder swings and misses with a hook to the body.

It looks like Derek Neder has been cut.

Neder gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Neder tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Bannon is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Neder buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Neder!! Neder is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Bannon throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
