Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Poldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gonna Whoop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Poldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gonna Whoop!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poldi lunges at Whoop with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Whoop's hand.
Whoop shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Poldi defends it nicely.
Poldi throws a series of punches but Whoop moves out of range.
Whoop tries to score a power double leg takedown but Poldi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Whoop somewhat.
No luck for Whoop with that takedown attempt.
Jack Poldi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gonna Whoop.
Whoop tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Poldi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Whoop shoots in and drives through. Poldi sprawls well.

Poldi scores with a sloppy right hand. Whoop should have avoided that one.
Poldi misses with a series of wild punches.
Whoop staying out of range there.
Poldi thuds a left hand into Whoop's body.
Whoop doesn't manage to clinch there - Poldi circles away.

Poldi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A jab from Poldi does it's job there.
Poldi throws a big shot that misses.
Poldi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Poldi stuffs the takedown attempt from Whoop. Whoop gets slowly back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whoop uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Poldi.
Whoop gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Poldi tries to work over Whoop's front leg with a kick but Whoop checks it.
Poldi cracks a nice hook into Whoop's ribs.
Whoop shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Poldi defends it nicely.
Poldi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Whoop was well out of range. Poor timing from Poldi.

Poldi lands with a straight right. Whoop didn't see that one coming.
Jack Poldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poldi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice defenses there by Whoop.
Poldi swings for the body but Whoop moves out of range.
Poldi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Whoop needs to keep his hands up - Poldi had a free shot at his head there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Whoop or perhaps it was just good defense by Poldi which made him look bad.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Whoop doesn't manage to clinch there - Poldi circles away.
Poldi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Whoop is out of range and Poldi settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Poldi throws a solid leg kick but Whoop takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Poldi.

Poldi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Whoop momentarily.
Whoop gets cracked there but stands up to it.

and Poldi counters with a nice uppercut.

Whoop is looking to clinch but Poldi is avoiding it.

Whoop is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Whoop throwing shots but Poldi is blocking nicely.
Whoop is keen to just control but Poldi is a slippery customer.

Whoop seems to be working for a kimura but Poldi defends the submission attempt.

Whoop wants to control but Poldi is keeping him busy.

Whoop is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Poldi sees it coming and defends easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Poldi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Whoop scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Poldi, as that shot connected.

Whoop feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Poldi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Whoop has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whoop drops back looking for a leg! Poldi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poldi manages to kick Whoop off! Whoop jumps back into Poldi's guard.

Whoop lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whoop is fighting to break Poldi's control of his arms but Poldi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Whoop trying to control but Poldi is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Whoop is looking to work some ground and pound but Poldi has wrist control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Poldi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Poldi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
