Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Philip Orange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Saint Isidore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Philip Orange!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Georges Saint Isidore!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Orange looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Saint Isidore keeps the fight on the outside.
Saint Isidore swats away the attempt to clinch by Orange.
Orange tries to clinch up.
Orange tries a head kick but it misses.

Saint Isidore clinches up against the cage.
Saint Isidore is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Orange is trying to trip Saint Isidore. He has hold of a leg but Saint Isidore is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Orange persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Orange stops Saint Isidore from standing up.
Orange sitting in guard here, content to control.
Saint Isidore wants to stand but Orange is controlling the position.
Orange throwing strikes from guard but Saint Isidore blocks nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saint Isidore can do anything to dispel that myth.
Saint Isidore wants to stand but Orange is controlling the position.
Saint Isidore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Orange. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Orange is looking to work some ground and pound but Saint Isidore has wrist control.
Orange looking to pass the guard.
Orange trying to control the position from guard on top but Saint Isidore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Orange looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Saint Isidore!

Orange looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Saint Isidore wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Saint Isidore is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Orange trying to control but Saint Isidore is having none of it.
Orange looking to control and managing it successfully.
Orange can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Saint Isidore is looking to escape.
Orange punching from mount but Saint Isidore doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Saint Isidore wants to get back to his feet.
Orange trying to control but Saint Isidore is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Orange misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Orange throwing strikes here but Saint Isidore is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Saint Isidore is trying to stand.
Orange trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Orange controlling his opponent.
Orange is trying to take his opponent's back.
Saint Isidore blocking the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Orange sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Saint Isidore is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Orange get's back to his feet.
Orange tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saint Isidore swivels and escapes.
Orange throws a sloppy head kick and Saint Isidore moves out of range easily.
Nice sprawl there from Saint Isidore as Orange shoots in.
Saint Isidore tries to clinch

and Orange counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Saint Isidore's guard now.
Orange has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Orange is breathing heavily.

Orange stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Saint Isidore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Orange counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Orange wants to stand but Saint Isidore has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Orange is standing up over Saint Isidore. Saint Isidore looks to escape but Orange dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Philip Orange dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Orange shoots in for a double leg but Saint Isidore sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Saint Isidore keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Saint Isidore wants to clinch but Orange slips to the side

and Orange counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Orange seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Saint Isidore does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Orange not doing much here.
Saint Isidore looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Orange uses his free foot to push down on Saint Isidore's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Saint Isidore.
Orange thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saint Isidore is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Orange has taken his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orange is persistently looking for the submission but Saint Isidore is defending it well.

Orange is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Saint Isidore is trying to stand back up.
Orange trying to control momentarily.

Orange working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Saint Isidore is doing well to defend. Orange seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Saint Isidore is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Philip Orange!
