The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzo shoots in for a takedown but McCoy shows good takedown defense.
McCoy misses the jab.
McCoy throws a right and a left that Gonzo avoids nicely.
McCoy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gonzo.

McCoy tries to sprawl but Gonzo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
McCoy is trying to get back to full guard.
Gonzo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Gonzo wants to control but McCoy is keeping him busy.
Gonzo is trying to work for a kimura but McCoy is defending well.
McCoy is looking for a sweep. Gonzo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCoy manages to get to full guard.
McCoy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gonzo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but McCoy is tightening it up a little... Gonzo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Gonzo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gonzo taps out! Nice BJJ there by McCoy!
