Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanma drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bowman throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Bowman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hanma wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bowman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hanma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hanma decides to stand back up. Hanma steps back and let's Bowman get back to his feet.

Bowman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hanma manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hanma has his foot on Bowman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bowman works his way back into a safe position though.

Bowman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hanma has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowman has managed to get both his arms back between Hanma's legs - danger averted.

Hanma throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bowman.
Bowman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck for Bowman with that takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hanma looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bowman checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bowman shoots in but Hanma avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hanma tries to close the distance and clinch but Bowman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hanma misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bowman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hanma.
Hanma slaps away a takedown attempt from Bowman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bowman dives in and grabs Hanma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hanma pushes down on Bowman's head and hops out.

Hanma will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hanma is looking to take a break and control but Bowman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
