PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Coach told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimbo Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Da Coach!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice is looking to clinch but Coach is avoiding it.
Some wild striking there from Coach.
Slice fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Slice shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Slice was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Coach blocking the ground and pound.
Coach is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Slice thowing shots but they're missing.
Slice looking to ground and pound but Coach is blocking nicely.
Slice throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Slice working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Coach slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slice throws a strike but Coach avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slice is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Coach has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Slice off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Slice is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Da Coach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Slice on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Coach. Coach obviously looking to wear him down.
Slice scores with a jab. Coach acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Coach lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Slice backs up against the cage.

It looks like Jimbo Slice has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Coach circles away from the clinch attempt.
Coach takes a swing at Slice's ribcage but misses.
Horrible takedown by Slice or perhaps it was just good defense by Coach which made him look bad.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coach throws a quick inside leg kick.
Slice is breathing heavily.
Coach connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Da Coach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coach lands a body shot.
Coach is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nice body punch from Coach.
Slice tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coach paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jab, jab by Coach - just one landing.
Slice takes one to the side of the head.

Jimbo Slice's cut is getting worse.

Coach lands a big right hand that sends Slice crashing to the mat! Coach stays standing though and waves Slice back to his feet!

Slice is rocked!
Slice switches off momentarily and Coach cracks him with a monster right hand! Slice topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Coach dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Coach!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Da Coach!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Da Coach waved his t-shirt featuring TITAN's logo in front of the cameras.
