Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Ain't No Sunshine - (DMX) as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Max uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A leg kick checked by Max.
Max tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva throws a head kick but Max moves out of range.
Good exchange - Silva coming out on top.
Max scores with a hook to the body. Silva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Max lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Max moves out of range of the body kick from Silva.
Max scores with a crisp jab that stopped Silva in his tracks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Max cracks Silva with a right hand to the side of the head.
Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Max's shoulder, as Max tries to avoid the shot.
Max scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Max counters with a body kick that stops Silva in his tracks momentarily.
Max jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silva tried to score with a low kick but Max checks it.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Max. Silva shrugs it off though.

Max moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Max is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva is staying active underneath Max, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Scott Max.
Max moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
No joy there for Max, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Max avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Silva gets caught napping as Max dives in and scores a takedown. Silva manages to retain guard.

Max turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Silva has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Max.

Silva tries to bum rush Max with a series of wild strikes but Max uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Max throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Max fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Silva on the side of the head.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Max.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Max circles away quickly and effectively.
Max showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Max throws a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Max dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Max lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Max takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!
