Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spider Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Pumperknickle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Spider Machida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida connects with a body shot.
Pumperknickle shoots in for a takedown but Machida shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pumperknickle has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Pumperknickle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Spider Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pumperknickle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Machida is looking to control Pumperknickle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Machida avoid being mounted?
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pumperknickle lands a nice short elbow.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Horrible takedown by Pumperknickle or perhaps it was just good defense by Machida which made him look bad.
Machida shoots in but Pumperknickle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pumperknickle dives in and grabs Machida's left leg, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes down on Pumperknickle's head and hops out.

Pumperknickle might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close second round but I would say that Spider Machida will probably get the nod.

Machida takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pumperknickle has a takedown stuffed.
Machida comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Machida lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pumperknickle will feel that in the morning.

Pumperknickle ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pumperknickle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machida's half guard.
Pumperknickle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Machida with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pumperknickle perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pumperknickle throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pumperknickle slips a nice elbow through Machida's hands, connecting with Machida's forehead.
Tyson Pumperknickle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Pumperknickle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Check out the look on Pumperknickle's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The ground and pound from Pumperknickle seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pumperknickle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Machida avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Pumperknickle.

Tyson Pumperknickle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Machida has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
