PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Naruto Uzumaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lore Helord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzumaki comes to the cage accompanied by Naruto Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Naruto Uzumaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lore Helord!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Helord gets caught napping as Uzumaki dives in and scores a takedown. Helord manages to retain guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Uzumaki tries to stand but Helord is controlling from the bottom.

Helord escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Uzumaki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Helord thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Helord is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Uzumaki drops back looking for a leg! Helord is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Helord manages to kick Uzumaki off! Uzumaki jumps back into Helord's guard.
Uzumaki wants to stand but Helord has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Uzumaki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Helord dives on top into guard.

Uzumaki throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Helord escapes and throws Uzumaki's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Uzumaki is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Helord seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Helord slows the pace down.
Helord's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Helord has hold of Uzumaki's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Uzumaki seems comfortable defending it but Helord has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Uzumaki is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Uzumaki is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Helord couldn't care less - he's delighted!
